Ken started playing volleyball at age 8 on the beaches of Southern California. He keeps playing for the love and future of the game. As a coach for more than 5 years, he loves encouraging youth to pursue the sport.
“Coaching gives me a proud feeling of being able to give back to the sport that has given me so much enjoyment and team-specific skills,” Ken says. “If I can make a positive impact on the lives of today’s youth in the process of coaching, it is a major bonus.”
One of his favorite things about volleyball is the attitude of the players and coaches in this sport being unequalled in any other. “It is very rare to encounter a volleyball player or coach who is not honest, genuine, outgoing and generous,” he says.
He’s an active volleyball player and has won many “Open” tournaments. He participates in many beach, grass and indoor tourneys such as “Fudpuckers” in Destin, Fla., the “Ironman” in Atlanta, the “Hi Neighbor” in Asheville, N.C. and “Marti Gras” tourney in New Orleans
